Our very own over-wintered carrots turned into a magical pickled snack by our friends at Hex Ferments. The carrots are fermented whole in a sea salt brine with a heaping amount of fresh turmeric, fresh organic ginger. black pepper, star anise and coriander. The result many months later is a super crunchy pickle that is cool and then grows in warmth. Perfect for snacking, then add the brine to salad dressings, yogurt or enjoy as a brine shot.
